Comandante has always crafted its unique crank knobs from this beautiful, local material. But its strength and hardness has made it unfeasible to use for the iconic veneers on the grinders… until now!

Comandante is proud to release a limited run of C40 Nitro Blade ‘Vintage Oak’ grinders in two categories ‘Classic’ and ‘Royal’. All handcrafted by the team at Headquarters (Munich) the grinders boast the rich, deep hue of smoked oak — the knob and veneer in a perfect pairing. The rare ‘Royal’ grinders all carry veneers handpicked by Comandante founder Bernd Braune for the grinders’ particularly remarkable grain.
